ASB MISSION STATEMENT: As an integral part of the student body at Calvary Murrieta High School, the ASB Leadership team is committed to encourage a welcoming relational environment that strengthens the Christ-centered community through spirit, service, and integrity.
Welcome Parents and Students!
It is again an honor and privilege to be the Calvary Murrieta High School ASB Leadership Advisor for 2011-2012. As I begin my third year with the leadership class, I am very excited to see what the Lord is going to do in and through our ASB class this year. I can honestly testify as to how we witnessed the work of God’s guiding hand throughout all of last year’s events.
The principal objective of our leadership class is to enrich the school, minister to its students and staff, as well as the community by planning and implementing a variety of student-led events and activities.
Some of the activities planned for the 2011-2012 school year include:
- Pep Rallies
- Homecoming Party
- Spirit Week
- Tailgate Party
- Powder Puff Football
- Talent Show
- Blood Drives
- MORP
- Junior/Senior Prom
This November, we are planning on taking a number of our members to the California Association of Directors of Activities (CADA) Conference in Anaheim. The mission of CADA is to help promote and support leadership development and student activities. Please check with your student for information and updates on this important event. There will be a fee involved for those in attendance to help cover the price of the conference and for an optional hotel stay in the event of a second day visit to Disneyland.
It is my heartfelt desire to encourage our young men and women of ASB Leadership to follow Jesus Christ as the ultimate role model and by emulating his attitude of humility, obedience, and servanthood in their role of leadership.
As always, we covet your prayer and support.
Sincerely,
Jim Pearson

"If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully." Romans 12:7-8 (NIV)
